City of Waterloo Trash & Recycling Pick-up

Trash is picked up weekly in Waterloo on Fridays. If a holiday falls within the week, trash pick-up will be on Saturday. You will need to have your trash and recycling containers to the curb by 6:00am. There should be at least 1 foot clearance between the container and any obstacle such as bushes or buildings.

Recycling is picked up every two weeks. Homes that are west of North Monroe Street and south of East Madison (not including Madison) are picked up on A weeks; homes that are east of North Monroe Street and north of East Madison (including Madison) are picked up on B weeks. See the calendar you received with your property taxes or request a copy from City Hall.

If a holiday falls within the week, trash and recycling pick-up will be delayed until Saturday. Holidays include Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Memorial Day and Labor Day. Weather sometimes will prevent pick-up on scheduled day; in that case, pick-up will be moved to Saturday.

If you have a large item or appliance to be picked up, please call 800.248.2373 to arrange a date for pick-up. Their website is http: www.advanceddisposal.com. Electronic devices are banned from disposal sites. Call City Hall 920.478.3025 or Waterloo Utilities 920.478.2260 for disposal information.
