Public Works Department

The Waterloo Department of Public Works has four full-time employees. Their work includes routine day-to-day operations needed to keep the City of Waterloo running smoothly and looking clean. They also are assigned to special tasks as necessary.

Leaves may be raked into the street along the curbside until November 22, 2013. After that, they must be bagged in clear plastic bags for pickup by the Public Works Department or you may transport them to the compost site in Firemen's Park.

Curbside brush and tree limb collection is the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month through October 21st. The Public Works Department will pickup up and dispose of Christmas trees, but will not restart the regular wood chipping service until April 2014.
