Park Facilities
The City of Waterloo's park facilities are available to groups and citizens to reserve for family gatherings, group parties, picnics, meetings, or other events.
Firemen's Park is a 60 acres of recreation and nature, located in downtown Waterloo. There are many different activities in the park from softball games, baseball games, concerts in the park, disc golf, volleyball games, weddings and other events. The park also has the 1911 C.W. Parker Carousel, the oldest active baseball field, Skalitzky field, and the pavilion.
Waterloo Regional Trailhead officially opened to the public December 14, 2013. The WRT was designed to provide the community with opportunties to host community events, private parties, and educational programs.
Park reservations are on a first-come, first-serve basis and a fee is required. For additional information or to see if a specific date is available, contact the Parks and Recreation Department.
